I also discovered today that stores don't stock candy canes for very long.. I had to buy normal little mints because both Shoppers and Metro were all sold out of candy canes! They stock at the start of the season, and once they are sold out, that is it. Weird!!

It was so much fun baking together, and the cookies are so delicious! They are essentially chocolate chip cookies with candy cane bits sprinkled on top. So go ahead, take your favourite recipe and sprinkle a little candy cane love, and voila! A holiday recipe!
